What you see doesn’t tell the whole story. Do you see chaos around you—a world out of control? Do you see your body wearing out—with sickness and cancer raging? Do you see troubles that lead you to doubt God’s love for you? Do you see sin and death and the devil winning? What you see doesn’t tell the whole story.
Here’s the truth:
“16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
May God give us grace today to see and trust in the unseen.
