Our 8th grade teacher and technology director Jared Brennan has returned the call to serve as principal and teacher at Zion Lutheran in Chesaning, Michigan. You can read his letter below.
In other call news, at our congregational voters' meeting on November 2nd, we extended calls to three of our own teachers.
We extended another one-year provisional call to our 6th grade teacher Mr. Wellhoefer, who is eligible to receive one-year calls in the WELS each year as he continues to take classes from our college of ministry, Martin Luther College (MLC) in pursuit of synod certification.
We extended a call to our 3K-4K teacher Mrs. Kristin Nelson, to serve as our 5K teacher starting next year to fill the role from which Mrs. Jean Jammer is retiring at the end of this school year.
We extended a call to our student aide Allonna Schmidt pending Mrs. Nelson's call acceptance, to teach in the 3K-4K classroom which Mrs. Nelson would be leaving to teach 5K.
Please keep each of these servants in your prayers as they consider where and how they will be serving among us next year.

From Mr. Jared Brennan:
Dear Fellow members of St. Paul Lutheran;Â
After the past three weeks of deliberating my calls here at St. Paul’s Lutheran and my call to Zion Lutheran I have been given the opportunity to reflect on my role here over the past five years, my time in the classroom, and what progress we have made over that time. My time serving God here in my call as a teacher and tech director has been blessed certainly through the support of this congregation, the students, and my fellow faculty members. While deliberating I found myself seeing Zion Lutheran as a school with a great need, and simply could not see myself as being able to continue serving God successfully in the role of principal and the 5-8 grade teacher in the manner I would find acceptable. Ultimately, I have returned the call to Zion Lutheran and have decided to remain here at St. Paul Lutheran. I look forward to working with you all towards our goals of providing a wonderful and complete Christian education to our members and community. God’s blessings and thank you for your time.Â
Your brother in ChristÂ
Jared BrennanÂ
