Jean Bakeberg
2nd Grade Teacher & School Music Coordinator
Mrs. Bakeberg is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College. She previously taught at First Lutheran School in Green Bay for thirteen years before coming to St. Paul in 1999. In addition to teaching second grade, she also teaches upper grade classroom music and choir chimes. She serves as the school’s Junior Choir director, and also is one of the church’s organists.

Rachel Blum
1st Grade Teacher
Mrs. Blum is a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. Mrs. Blum has been teaching at St. Paul since 2018. She previously taught in West Allis Public Schools as a first, second and third grade teacher for seven years. Mrs. Blum received her synod certification in 2019. She serves as one of the school’s girls’ volleyball coaches and is the 1st grade teacher and the 6th - 8th grade Spanish teacher.

Jared Brennan
7th/8th Grade Teacher and Tech Director
Jared Brennan is the 7-8th grade teacher and Tech Director here at St. Paul Lutheran, Green Bay. He began teaching here at St. Paul in 2021. He is originally from Watertown, Wisconsin, and attended Luther Preparatory School for high school. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in history, and he worked for MetLife for a short while until he returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. He has taught at Westside Christian in Middleton, Wisconsin (1 year), St. Stephen's Lutheran in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin (4 years as a teacher, 2 as a principal), Grace Lutheran in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (3 years)and St. Paul Lutheran (1 year).

Holly Bushner
Classroom Aide
Holly is a graduate of MLC and taught various grades for five years before marrying and becoming a stay-at-home mom. Holly and husband Dan along with their three sons, Seth, Michael and Caleb, moved to Green Bay in April of 2018 during a blizzard. Dan and Holly have been married 16 years. Seth is a recent graduate of St. Paul's and is starting at FVL high school this fall. Michael and Caleb are twins on the Autism spectrum and attend public school. Holly is excited to serve where God leads her.

Ashley Hepner
4th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Hepner graduated from Martin Luther College in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. She previously taught at Crown of Life in West St. Paul, MN for two years in the 6-8th grade classrooms along with some technology, choir directing and coaching. She has also taught at Risen Savior in Milwaukee, WI for a year in the 2nd grade classroom. She took a few years off when her first child was born, but is now resuming her teaching career in the 4th grade classroom here at St. Paul.

Jan Herre
3K/4K Classroom Aide
Mrs. Herre started as a part-time aide for St. Paul's Early Childhood program in 2014. Her position expanded to full school days in 2019 as an afternoon session was added to accommodate our growing enrollment. Mrs. Herre is a 1985 graduate of Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers, WI.

Clair Jammer
5th/6th Grade Teacher & Athletic Director
Mr. Jammer is currently teaching grades 5&6. He also teaches grades 7&8 science, grades 1, 2, 5-8 physical education, and grade 2 hymnology. Along with his teaching responsibilities, he serves as the school’s athletic director. He graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN) with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree (Major - Elementary Education, Minor - Science). Before accepting a Call to serve at St. Paul Lutheran, he served Trinity Lutheran (Nicollet, MN) for six years.

Jean Jammer
Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Jammer graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. She served as the Kindergarten teacher for three years in Nicollet, MN. After taking a few years off when her children were young, she resumed her teaching at St. Paul in Green Bay in 1993. She taught preschool for two years and became the Kindergarten teacher in 1995. At St. Paul, Mrs. Jammer is the record keeper for the school’s honor roll, sports, and all other extra curricular awards. She possesses a current WI State Teaching License for Grades K-8.

Hope Loescher
3rd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Loescher graduated from Martin Luther College in 2017 with degrees in Elementary Education and Instrumental and Choral Music Education. She received her master's degree in church music from Concordia University in 2021. She has previously taught 5th grade and school music at Peace Lutheran in Hartford, WI, 3rd grade at Morning Star in Jackson, WI, piano & organ at Fox Valley Lutheran High School, and upper grade music at Neenah Lutheran. Mrs. Loescher is married to Rev. Martin Loescher, a Pastor at Martin Luther Church in Neenah, WI, where she is an active organist and choir director.

Stephen Miller
Principal
Mr. Miller is the principal and teaches Algebra at St. Paul. He graduated from UW-Green Bay in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in secondary education. He also has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Marian University. Mr. Miller served for 25 years in the Green Bay Area Public School District, serving as a classroom teacher, building administrator and central office administrator before joining the St. Paul team.

Kristin Nelson
3K/4K/5K Teacher
Mrs. Nelson joined the St. Paul staff in 2017. She is a graduate of Martin Luther College. She has taught 2nd and 3rd grades in Muskego WI and was a volunteer, piano teacher, and classroom aide at Risen Savior in Mankato, MN while her children attended school there. She also taught preschool in Mankato for two years. Mrs. Nelson is one of St. Paul's organists and volunteers with our ESL (English as a Second Language) program.

Gretchen Plitzuweit
Extended Learning Teacher
Mrs. Plitzuweit is a coastal native from Washington State. She graduated from Martin Luther College in 2002. She previously taught art classes for grades 1-8 in San Jose, California, before joining the St. Paul team in 2008. She teaches extended learning full time as well as mentoring new teachers in their first two years after graduation from MLC. She is also currently working on her Masters Degree in Special Education.

Rhiana Revell
3K,4K Classroom Aide
I began serving at St Paul in 2021 in the after-school care program as well as a part time aide in 3K/4K. This year I will be a full time aide for 3K/4K program. Prior to our move to Green Bay in 2020 I had an in home day care. I graduated from Trinity International University in 2003 with a degree in History. I love having the opportunity to serve the school where my two children attend.

Brittany Rivers
Office Administrator
Brittany Rivers previously served at St. Paul as a Teachers' Assistant for grades 3 - 6 and is currently serving as the Office Administrator. She enjoys contributing to the success of the students, staff and school here at St. Paul.

Denise Seyler
5K Classroom Aide
Denise has helped at St. Paul in a number of different ways. She served as an aide for nearly twenty years in the Grade 3 and 4 classroom, after which she was asked to take over the after-school care program. Starting in 2020, she was asked to be Mrs. Jammer's aide in the Kindergarten classroom along with after-school care. Denise enjoys the variety of things she gets to do when working with Kindergarten students: "Every day is different."

Julie Zabell
3K/4K Teacher & Early Childhood Director
Mrs. Zabell is the Early Childhood Director and teaches 3K and 4K at St. Paul. She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education. In recent years she has taken several post graduate classes with an early childhood education focus. Mrs. Zabell has been teaching our youngest learners at St. Paul since 2008. She has previous experience teaching grades 7-8 and grade 4 in Thiensville, WI. She also serves on the FVL Schools Early Childhood Education Committee, coaches forensics,and is a member of our school's Promotions Committee. She is married to Pastor Jon Zabell and together they have 3 sons and 1 daughter.

Lisa Ziegert
Business Manager and Office Assistant
Lisa Ziegert is a graduate of the University of Green Bay with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked 4 years at Green Bay Day Nursery (now Encompass) before moving to Milwaukee and working at a daycare center there associated with Children's and Froedert Hospitals. Upon returning to Green Bay a year later, she worked at Packerland Packing in the main office handling the employees insurance and workers comp reports. She met and married her husband Jeff while they both worked there and they have 2 children, Mason and Jordan. After leaving Packerland, she took a teaching position at The Cerebral Palsy Center in their Day Care, spending almost 18 years with them. She was hired at St. Paul as the Office Assistant in August of 2014, and added the position of Business Manager in 2019, becoming the Office Administrator.
